The Mt.Arrowsmith Pipe Band was formed in Parksville, B.C. Canada in 1975. The band is a non-profit organization and a regular participant in community events in the Oceanside area they are Family Day, Father's Day, Canada Day and Remembrance Day and other major activities throughout the Mid Vancouver Island area, such as the 2004 BC Winter Games in Port Alberni.
The band wears two uniform's for Legion events "S3's" (green) jackets, pale green shirts with green hose and for other engagements Black jackets with white hose, they are very proud to wear the Cameron of Erracht tartan.At present the band has 20 members , we practice on Monday evenings 6:30pm - 8:30pm (September - May) at the Christian Fellowship Centre located on Village Way in Qualicum Beach, there is also a chanter practise at the Qualicum Legion on Thursday night at 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
